About the Author

Sevyn Michaela-Rose Waters invites listeners into the shadowy halls of 1930s upstate New York in The Rosie Carter Mysteries, an atmospheric audio mystery series set at Hamilton School for Girls. The stories follow 15-year-old amateur detective Rosie Carter and her spunky best friend, Susan, as they unravel secrets buried within the school’s historic walls.

Waters’s work has appeared in From Arthur's Seat, Savannah Magazine, Square95, Port City Review, and more. With a background in both creative and journalistic writing—and a master’s degree from the University of Edinburgh—she’s known for blending rich historical detail with unforgettable characters and emotionally resonant storytelling.

She writes the kinds of stories she longed for as a teen—adventures where cleverness and friendship take center stage, where curious, capable girls lead the way, and where mysteries linger just behind every closed door. She invites listeners to explore a world where history persists, secrets don’t stay buried, and friendship is the sharpest tool in the detective’s kit.
